Nike Shoe Conveyor

The challenge was to create a functional, industrial conveyor belt shoe display to operate 24/7 for 5 years. This shoe conveyor belt had to fit inside an 8”x12” space across a 28’ plinth, and needed to include an display system that kept shoes attached to the belt while suspended upside down underneath.
To fit the small space, I modified industrial manufacturing conveyor belt parts and designed & engineered a custom tensioner system which was integrated with a custom client-facing control panel. I then modified off-the-shelf shoe trees with a clamp collar to magnetically attach shoes to the conveyor belt without damaging them, while allowing shoes to be easily interchanged for new shoe releases.
