The challenge was to build an inclusive luxury beachfront lounge for the Something in the Water Festival in Virginia Beach. I designed a cladding system that could quickly mask the underlying ModTruss structure, which included an integrated roofing, decking, and electrical system, and an ADA compliant lift. I executed this ambitious project in a condensed timeframe: one week for the industrial design, two weeks to build, and five days to lead the install on the beach, where weather conditions became severe.
